Recycling at its Best

Ephesians 2:10- For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.        I was doing a morning run one day and I was feeling good about doing some exercise. There is something about the outdoors that can give you a fresh perspective of life. As I was running, I was listening to my worship music and allowing God's presence to dwell within my spirit. About 15 minutes into my run, I see a brown car driving slowly beside me. Immediately, I begin to ponder to myself, "why is she following me?" I commenced to slow down, and she stopped her car....

When I received my test back, I was set back because there was so much red ink on my paper. The red ink on my test represented all the mistakes that I made on the test. When I looked at the top of my page, it had the letter...

I Want To Make You Smile

"May the words of my heart be pleasing to you, Oh Lord." Psalm 19:14 Growing up in my household, I knew that my parents took pride in providing, protecting, and preparing for my siblings and I. We watched how they sacrificed some of the things they loved to do just so we could be blessed. In return, we wanted to make sure that our words and our actions put a smile on their faces. While we did not always make the best choices, we knew how much they were willing to give us. We made it a point that we would represent them wherever we went.  God has given so much to us whether we want to acknowledge it or...

Paying it Forward in Service

"And if your Lord and Teacher has washed your feet, you should do the same for each other" - John 13:14 (Contemporary English Version) You are in a drive thru line at Starbucks one morning and your day did not start off well. You woke up on the "wrong side of the bed", clothes wrinkled, hair won't lay the way it needs to, and you are already 15 minutes late in leaving. Here is your order: Grande skinny latte, half soy milk half coconut, 2 shots of espresso, and 2 pumps of caramel (disclaimer: please do not try this drink, it does not exist). You pull up to the window getting ready to pay when the cashier tells you, "Your order...
