"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart" - Galatians 6:9
Has there been a time where you believed that doing good was getting you nowhere in life? Have you ever felt like you give so much to people yet no one gives back to you? Are there times where you may feel like you may have wasted your time trying to do good for someone or for some cause? God has called us to always do the right thing, even when things become difficult. We see a world who may not have the same standards and values as we do, yet we see them gain so much from our viewpoint. God reminds us that to never grow tired while doing good. Doing good comes at a cost. Doing good has not immediate benefits. Doing good may not provide the results you are looking for. However, the reminder is that in due season, or at the appropriate time, we will receive our reward if we do not give up the faith and hope of doing good. Our reward will not always be materialistic. Our reward can be peace, joy, love, and other things that may not be seen. The greatest reward of them all is hearing God say, "Well Done, my good and faithful servant." Keep pushing and striving because you will win and reap. The reward God has for you is far greater than anything this world can give you.
Prayer- God, thank you for your voice that encourages me to do good. When I feel like throwing in the towel, please allow your presence to not let me fade away. I look forward to the reward you have promised me. My hope is in You! Amen!
