Each one of us has a desire to have just one person know our heart, mind, and soul. We want that one person to know how we think, how we feel, and how we act. There is a longing to have that one person who knows decisions that we contemplate in our brains, things we really want to say, and do what we want to do at times, even if the cost could be detrimental. Some of us seek that person through a spouse, a family member, a friend, a co-worker, a child or some other form of a relationship. While you may believe that person is the one who really knows you, they do not even come close to God.
God knows how we feel. God longs for us to come to Him and share our deepest thoughts. God knows what decisions we have to make each day. God is constantly looking in our heart, mind, and soul to see what we are struggling with. He wants us to stay on the path of righteousness, even when He knows the temptation is great. Yet, we have to seek Him in order to make sure that we have an open dialogue with Him. God is consistent in knocking at our door each day waiting for us to open it so He may enter. Now it is time to let Him in so that He may guide you. Without Him, nothing is possible! But with Him, anything is possible.
Prayer: God, each day I want to do my best and make you smile. I have so much going on, but I know that if I give it to You things will work out so much better. While I may not share much with people, I want you to know everything that goes on in me. I want to walk right, talk right, and live right. Only You can lead me in the way that I desire. Amen.
