Mrs. Price was one of the best teachers I have ever learned under. She was an amazing 4th grade teacher. I must admit, I was a pretty good student. There was a history test I had to take one day in which I felt like I didn't need to study. When I received my test back, I was set back because there was so much red ink on my paper. The red ink on my test represented all the mistakes that I made on the test. When I looked at the top of my page, it had the letter "D" on it. Because she knew how much of a good student I was, she gave me a chance to do some test corrections and I could raise my grade. When I completed all of my corrections, the grade was raised to a A.
Just like that red ink showed all my faults and gave me another chance to get things right, the blood of Jesus covers all our sins and blesses us with the opportunity to get things right with our Teacher. He died for us because He wants us live eternally with Him. The blood has so much power that it can take the worst possible wrong you believe you have done and restore you. The blood can take our selfish, mischievous, deceitful, and sinful ways and bury them far away. The blood cleanses us so that when we have to stand in front of God, we are presented faultless. The blood keeps us going from day to day. In the words of the great songwriter Andre Crouch, "It reaches to the highest mountain, and it flows to the lowest valley. The blood that gives me strength from day to day, it will never lose its power."
Prayer: God, I am so thankful for the blood that Your Son Jesus shed for us. The blood gives me another chance to get things right. The blood teaches me how to walk right, live right, and talk right. Your blood has no boundaries and restrictions. Just as much as Your blood covers and washes me, please do the same for others so that we all may be presented faultless. Amen
